Spanish for Perfectionists: an innovative multimedia resource

These materials are for people who have studied Spanish but still find it challenging to participate in real conversations with native Spanish speakers. Each package consists of engaging video-lessons based on a variety of topics, as well as an accompanying ebook with interesting study materials and online activities linked to the videos. 

As with all our materials, we focus on colloquial language, spoken at normal native-speaker speed. We also explain some tricky grammar points that come up in the videos and suggest some strategies you can use to learn languages more effectively.

Spanish for Perfectionists (plus your dedication and hard work) will help you to:

§  improve your understanding of spoken Spanish;

§  enhance your fluency;

§  expand your vocabulary;

§  learn a lot of colloquial Spanish expressions;

§  tune your ear to the sounds of Spanish and refine your pronunciation;

§  develop some useful language-learning strategies to boost your learning of Spanish (or any other language).

Lesson content:

Some lessons focus on the many different meanings and uses of common words such as leche, including colloquial expressions that use that word, such as ¡Eres la leche! Others explain various ways to express an idea or an emotion: for example, expressions for talking about speed, or expressions to reject a suggestion or a request. Others are based on clips from movies, TV programs, podcasts, and documentaries. You’ll also find lessons that explain aspects of Spanish that many speakers of other languages find difficult, such as the use of the subjunctive, words that can be masculine or feminine (such as el orden/la orden), pronominal verbs, verbs that function like «gustar», and more.
