About this mini-lesson:

This mini-lesson is an excerpt from the first lesson of our course «Español con los Alcántara 1: Un malentendido». In this video you’ll meet the Alcántara family working-class family in Madrid. They having dinner at home. It's 1968, and they are all very excited because they are waiting for the delivery of their first television… all except the grandma, that is.

The supplementary materials will help you get the most out of the video. They consist of an annotated transcription, grammar sheet in Spanish and English, and online activities where you can practise the vocabulary, expressions and grammar highlighted in the mini-lesson. The grammar notes in this lesson focus on the use of the indicative or subjunctive with expressions of time or with the connector «cuando».

By watching and listening to the videos I can improve my skills to understand spoken Spanish at real time speed. Obviously, being able to pause and replay with or without subtitles enhances my ability to learn. (Simon, UK)
